SUMMARY:UNA Policy Meeting
DESCRIPTION:UNA LASER are hosting a policy afternoon from 1.30-5.30pm on Friday 18th January at Resource for London\, 356 Holloway Rd\, London N7 6PA.  In this meeting we will be looking at ways to get our resolutions out into the wider domain more effectively and how to use them to influence decision makers. \nAs you all know over the last two years UNA LASER has formed resolutions on the following subjects: UN  Reform; UN Sustainable Development Goals; Nuclear Weapons; Sri Lanka; How did Hammarskgold Die; The Role of Women in the UN;  Yemen and Saudi Arabia; North Korea; Women\, Peace and Security; Palestine 100 Years after the Balfour Declaration; Climate; Human Rights; Localizing the SDG’s; Oceans Protection of Journalists; Strengthening the UN and  Peacekeeping (follow this link to see the resolutions). \nIf you are a Chair of a branch\, committee member or concerned individual who has specifically been working on these resolutions with colleagues we would like to invite you to this meeting.  The event is not an open meeting so we will need to know who is attending in advance. \nIf  you wish to attend please could you email catherinepluygers@hotmail.com by Saturday 12th January so that Neville Grant LASER Secretary\, and Peter Webster Chair of Policy know who to expect.
