Black Swans, White Swans and the Purple Transition

On 26th April, 10:30-12:30, UNA Harpenden will host a hybrid event at The Salvation Army, Harpenden, AL5 2TG on Black Swans, White Swans and the Purple Transition. The speaker on zoom, Dr Simon Michaux (Geological Survey of Finland), will consider the Purple Transition to phase out fossil fuels, based on the four foundation technologies: liquid fuel fission using thorium as the fuel; burning iron powder; ammonia-fuelled internal combustion engines; and electric vehicles, powered by alternative battery chemistries.
