The United Nations Association, London and South East Region (UNA LASER) is a democratic organisation covering about 30 local and university branches of UNA-UK, the country’s foremost advocate for UK actions at the UN and a critical friend of the UN system. LASER works with UNA-UK to support our branches in their local activities; we organise regional meetings and campaigns on issues of current concern in the UN system. We believe that a strong, credible and effective UN is essential if we are to build a safer, fairer, more peaceful and more sustainable world, and we advocate strong UK government action to strengthen the UN.
